2017 Festival Calendar

We are pleased to announce the tentative festival schedule for 2017!



Dates: Sunday, June 4
Location: Monmouth Street 

Join us for the fifth year of this street festival where Newport businesses offer a taste of their best with all items priced modestly so you can sample a lot of our flavors! The event will also feature live music, sidewalk sales and more! Monmouth will be closed to vehicular traffic between 6th and 9th Streets during the event so attendees can stroll about and visit all their friends, favorite booths and businesses.


Dates: June 8 - 9 - 10 - 11 
Location: Festival Park, Riverboat Row, Newport Riverfront

Join us for the 26th Newport Italianfest, named a Top 20 Event for June by the Southeast Tourism Society and held along Newport’s Riverboat Row between the Purple People and Taylor-Southgate Bridges. The festival has authentic Italian food and live Italian music performed by entertainers from around the nation and from “the old country”, a Golf Outing, and a Family Photo Booth showcasing the history of Italian families that settled in Newport generations ago. The Second Annual Lauren Hill 5K Spaghetti Run will be on Saturday at 7 p.m. Other fun includes a cooking contest, games, and rides for the little ones. This celebration will include live entertainment, food, contests and prizes!  Motorcycle show registration is Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and awards will be given out on Saturday afternoon to the best-looking bikes. The Bacon, Bourbon and Brew Festival is dedicated to the area’s rich history and connections to the brewing and pork industries as well as our region’s long ties to the bourbon industry. Each of the festival food vendors will feature creative bacon dishes including freshly prepared items sure to delight every bacon lover. Live music, games and more are part of the family fun. Glier’s Goettafest is a family-fun festival celebrating the region’s love of Goetta. Goetta will be prepared in many delicious ways including Goetta Reubens, omelets, pizza and more. The Great Inland Seafood Festival is held along the riverbank in Newport features premium seafood dishes from restaurants around the Northern Kentucky / Greater Cincinnati Region and music for all. For more information, please go to

Over 200 classic cars registered for last year’s event. Come enjoy this family-friendly event, enjoy the day and sample our great restaurants. All day fun includes a raffle and judging of the best entries. For more information call Sal at 859.912.2509.

Location: Festival Park, Riverboat Row, Newport Riverfront

The Newport Oktoberfest is promised to be the most authentic Oktoberfest in the area. The event will be in the Munich Oktoberfest style of large Fest Tent sponsored by German Beer Breweries. Each tent will have food, beer and music. Participating restaurants include Wertheim’s and others. There will also be continuous live German entertainment. Location: Monmouth Street from 3rd to 11th Street

Restaurants and retail shops in the Historic Newport Downtown Business District are hosting their Sixth Annual Harvest Fest. The fun begins at just before the lunch hour with lots to see, do and enjoy on Monmouth at the many businesses and vendor spots between Third and Eleventh Street. Monmouth Street will remain open to vehicular traffic. Harvest Fest showcases dining, entertainment and shopping venues and specials.
