To all interested citizens of Newport,Kentucky:
The City of Newport intends to request that the Kentucky Department for Local Government approve an amendment to is Community Development Block Grant Project 15-033, the Newport Homeownership Development Project.
The proposed amendment will delete from approved project activities the rehabilitation of an existing single family structure at 224 West 10th Street and add to project activities rehabilitation of a single family structure located at 412 West 10th Street. Project activities are being carried out by Newport Millennium Housing Corporation III through a development agreement with the City ofNewport.
The City ofNewportwill hold a public hearing prior to submission of the amendment request to the Department for Local Government. This public hearing will be held at 6:00 pm EDT, April 17, 2017 in the City Commission meeting room,998 Monmouth Street,Newport,Kentucky. The purpose of this hearing is to obtain views on the proposed amendment.

Beginning Thursday, April 6, 2017 a copy of the amendment request material will be on file for citizen review and comment during regular business hours at the second floor customer service desk,30 East 8th Street,Newport,Kentucky.
