“York Street Local Historic District” Public Meeting Update – Monday, August 7th – 7:00pm at Studio 821 – 821 York Street
The York Street Local Historic District was approved by the Newport Board of Commissioners on December 12, 2016.
There will be an informal meeting, open to the public, on Monday, August 7th beginning at 7:00pm at Studio 821, located at 821 York Street, to discuss the benefits and advantages of living within a local historic district. Former East Row and now Westside residents, Kate and Micky McElwain who helped with the East Row Historic designation, have taken over 14,000 photos of properties and vacant sites in the Westside Neighborhood and for the Buena Vista Historic District survey, which is nearly complete.
