Notice is hereby made that a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Newport, Kentucky, has been called. The meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2020.
DUE TO STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARATIONS AND EXECUTIVE ORDERS BY GOVERNOR BESHEAR AND THE CITY OF NEWPORT, THE CITY BUILDING IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC FOR NON-ESSENTIAL BUSINESS.
THE SPECIAL MEETING WILL BE CONDUCTED VIA VIDEO TELECONFERENCE AS ALLOWABLE UNDER SB 150. The meeting will be live streamed on the City’s Facebook page.
COMMENTS FOR THE PUBIC HEARING PORTION OF THE MEETING CAN BE SUBMITTED IN ADVANCE TO CITY STAFF OR VIA COMMENTING DURING THE HEARING VIA LIVE STREAM ON THE CITY’S FACEBOOK PAGE ( https://www.facebook.com/CityofNewportKY/ ).
The public is encouraged to ask any questions/make comments by emailing staff by noon on Monday, 4/27. Alternately, the public has the option of viewing the public hearing via Facebook live and posting in the comment section during the designated comment period.
To comply with special meeting requirements, the Board of Commissioners is not at liberty to discuss matters that were not included on the published agenda.
