Announcement of Animal Control Officer

Hello, my name is Terri Baker. I wanted to introduce myself as the City of Newport Animal Control Officer. Like many of you, I’m a lifelong Newport resident, graduate of Newport High School, and a widowed parent of three children, all of whom attended Newport High School. Our family has two dogs and four cats.

I’m joining the City of Newport team with twenty years of experience as an animal control officer is ten cities across Campbell County My expertise includes being a Nationally Certified Animal Control Officer with certification in pet CPR and a graduate of many FEMA classes for emergency management of animals. I love learning and take continuing education classes any time I can. I also have a strong connection to resources and other animal control officers trough my work as secretary for the state animal control group, Kentucky Animal Care and Control Association KACCA.

I am very excited and happy to join the Newport family and help the animals in our community!
