22nd NEWPORT ITALIANFEST
Date: June 13, 14, 15 & 16
Location: Newport Riverfront

Times: Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (Opening Ceremony at 8:00 p.m.)
Friday 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (Fireworks after the Reds game)
Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. (Fireworks at 11 p.m.)
Sunday Noon - 9:00 p.m.

Italianfest, named a Top 20 Event for June by the Southeast Tourism Society, is held along Newport’s Riverboat Row between the Purple People and Taylor-Southgate Bridges. The festival has authentic Italian food and live Italian music performed by entertainers from around the nation and from “the old country”, a Golf Outing, and a Family Photo Booth showcasing the history of Italian families that settled in Newport generations ago. Other fun includes a pizza eating contest, a cooking contest, games, and rides for the little ones. Events kick off with a Bocci Ball Tournament at Pompilio’s Restaurant, at 4 p.m. on Wed., June 12th. The event averages 100,000 visitors. For more info, call 859-292-3666.

**AMERICA'S CELEBRATION - NEWPORT MOTORCYCLE RALLY
Date: July 4 - 5 - 6 - 7
Location: Newport Riverfront

Times: Thursday Noon - 11:00 p.m.
Friday 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Saturday Noon - 11:00 p.m.
Sunday Noon - 7:00 p.m.

This celebration will include fireworks on the riverfront, games, live entertainment, food, contests and prizes! Motorcycle show registration is Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and awards will be given out on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. to the best-looking bikes. In 2011, there were more than 55,000 visitors. KENTUCKY ART OUTPOST
Dates: July 19, 20, 21 and 26, 27, 28
Location: World Peace Bell Park at 4th & York

Times: Fridays 19 & 26 5 – 9 p.m.
Saturdays 20 & 27 Noon - 9 p.m.
Sundays 21 & 28 Noon - 7 p.m.

Presented by: Malton Art Gallery, Southbank Partners, and the City of Newport A celebration of the best in arts in Kentucky, this second annual event will feature dozens of regional artists presenting their paintings, glass, photographs, ceramics, jewelry and crafts. **QUEEN CITY SAUSAGE FESTIVAL

The Queen City Sausage Festival is dedicated to the region’s rich history of sausage making and the enjoyment of grilling. Queen City Sausage is the largest independent producer of authentic craft sausages in Greater Cincinnati. Each of the festival food vendors will feature creative sausage dishes including freshly prepared metts, brats, specialty sausages, goetta and more. Live music, games and more are part of the family fun. Glier’s Goettafest is a family-fun festival celebrating the region’s love of Goetta. Goetta will be prepared in many delicious ways including Goetta Reubens, omelets, pizza and more. FESTIVAL IN NEWPORT

RIDES ON MONMOUTH - NEWPORT DOWNTOWN CAR SHOW

Location: Monmouth Street (between 3rd & 11th Streets)

**NEWPORT OKTOBERFEST
Date: September 27 - 28 - 29
Location: Newport Riverfront

The Newport Oktoberfest is promised to be the most authentic Oktoberfest in the area. The event will be in the Munich Oktoberfest style of large Fest Tent sponsored by German Beer Breweries. Each tent will have food, beer and music. Participating restaurants include Wertheim’s and others. There will also be continuous live German entertainment.
