Mission Statement

Protect the citizens within the City of Newport from injury and loss of life and/or property due to natural or man-made disasters by providing highly trained and equipped personnel to respond to incidents of fire, flood, chemical release and medical emergencies within a three-minute response time after notification.

Request Public Education

The Newport Fire/EMS Department is dedicated to protecting the lives and property of its citizens, not only by means of rescue, but also by educating our citizens about fire safety. We offer firehouse tours, fire safety classes, and fire prevention month education to local schools. To request a public education service, please complete this form.
